Honda CB Shine is the successful bike in 125cc category which was initially launched in 2006. Bike comes with many special features which are rarely seen on other bikes in this Segment. It is equipped with 4 stroke 125cc OPTIMAX engine which puts out 10.54 Bhp of power. Honda has developed this engine particularly for Indian roads and it optimizes the fuel input and returns maximum output of power which improves the fuel efficiency and performance of the bike.

Design and Dimensions
Honda CB Shine is bike for mature Indian customers who need efficient bike with world class sparkling graphics and design. Graphics on the fuel tank are elegant and appealing. To enhance its beauty 3D emblem of Honda logo is engraved which adds to its premium look. The sitting posture is comfortable and provides easy handling of bike. Honda claims that Ergo-tee design is used which is used to increase comfort and handling based on human engineering. Tail lamp of bike also looks stylish and body coloured grab rails adds to its sleek design. Self start and kick start both are present.
Shine is 2014mm long, 1071mm high and 762mm wide. 157mm ground clearance is good considering Indian roads. Bike weighs only 118 kg which makes it easy to handle in high traffic condition.
Engine and Transmission
Honda Shine has 4 stroke oil cooled engine of 125cc or exactly 124.7cc. This engine can give maximum power output of 10.54 bhp @ 7500 rpm. Shine can produce maximum net torque of 10.5 Nm. The OPTIMAX engine used in Shine balances the fuel input and power output which in return gives better average fuel efficiency.
The Compression ratio of engine is 9.2:1. To reduce on extra maintenance cost bike uses maintenance free viscous air filter requires no frequent cleaning and needs to be changed only after 16,000 km.
Honda Shine has 4 gears which can be shifted in simple pattern N-1-2-3-4.
Breaks and Tyres
240mm Disc brake is provided in front to increase stopping power although it is optional and customer can buy lower priced version with 130mm drum brake. Rear brake is also 130mm drum.
Both the tyres of front and rear are tubeless and of same size 80/100-18.
Suspension and Frame
Honda Shine uses flexible diamond shaped frame which is light and strong enough to protect bike on rough roads. Telescopic suspension is provided in front and spring loaded hydraulic suspensions are present in rear.
Battery
It has 3Ah 12 volt maintenance free battery.
Stylish 12V halogen powered 35 W head lamp.
